This is the Tasmanian road network that has been assessed and gazetted for Class 2 B-Double Heavy Vehicles with an overall length exceeding 21m and up to 26m, or a mass exceeding 50 tonnes, as authorised through the National Class 2 B-double Authorisation Notice 2019. The accessibility on the roads and bridges has been divided into 3 categories: Approved, Conditionally Approved and Restricted.

The data was sourced from theLIST Transport Segments 2013. Corresponding road sections that were originally described in the legislation (Vehicle and Traffic (Vehicle Operations) Notice 2013, Schedule 1) were selected and copied to a new spatial layer. Attribute fields mirroring the description for the route in the legislation were placed against each corresponding route. The data was validated by cross checking against previous versions and the master list. The base has been updated using a more modern base at around 2017. When new road alignments are required and/or intersections change - these are added as by copying the most recent LIST Transport in from the source.

Positional Accuracy: As per LIST Transport segments (1: 25,000). Accuracy of this layer is +/- 2m in urban areas and +/- 10meters in rural and remote areas. Attribute Accuracy: Attributes are estimated to be 100% correct. All codes and labels for the Network are fully validated. Please advise if errors found. Completeness: 100% complete.
