The LIST Legislative Council Divisions data set contains boundaries of the 15 Electoral Divisions for the Legislative Council (Upper House) within the State of Tasmania. The boundaries of the current divisions were determined by the Legislative Council Redistribution Tribunal on 20 May 2017. Legislative Council Divisions polygon attributes include: Polygon Persistent Identifier (LEG_CNL_ID) Full name for a Legislative Council Division (NAME) The Central Plan Office number of the plan defining the boundary (PLAN) The Redistribution Date (COMMENTS)

Legislative Council Divisions are created through a redistribution process with boundaries described by plans contained in the Central Plan Register (CPR). In most instances Legislative Council Boundaries will follow cadastral boundaries but in some instances other features will form the basis for a boundary such as the side of a road, bank of watercourse, watersheds and straight lines.

Position Accuracy: Legislative Council Division boundaries will generally have the same positional accuracy as the Cadastral Boundary feature they follow. For further information refer to Metadata statements for Cadastral Parcels Attribute Accuracy: Attributes have been verified accurate to 100% Logical Consistency: Legislative Council Divisions are closed polygons and are topologically correct. Whilst boundaries were initially aligned to the cadastral parcels when this dataset was created in May 2017, no further adjustments have been undertaken to maintain ongoing alignment with the cadastral parcels. Completeness: Legislative Council Divisions are complete to current (2017) redistribution and available as attributed polygons.
