The LIST Land Parish Boundaries data set contains those 480 administrative divisions of Land Districts (formerly known as Counties). A number of Parishes combine to form a Land District. Parishes have historically, and are still, being used together in conjunction with Land Districts when describing the location of a Grant. This dataset has been compiled from historic sources and has not been verified. It is not authoritative.

Parishes were originally portrayed on hard copy working Land District (County) charts with no formal definition of those areas. Boundaries were digitally obtained by reference to these charts and to digital map derived topographic detail and the remaining visible grant boundaries from the development of the State's cadastre. No Quality Assurance, verification or subsequent work has been undertaken on this data since compiled in 1993.

Position Accuracy: LIST Parish Boundaries may be regarded as being an indicative portrayal only. Attribute Accuracy: Attributes are 90% correct Logical Consistency: Parish Boundaries are regions and are attributed with a Parish name. The majority of 'holes' in this dataset will where there is a proclaimed town. Completeness: Completeness of The LIST Parish Boundaries data set cannot be guaranteed and information has not been quality assured. There are known errors and omissions in this dataset. There are no plans to undertake any further development of this dataset.
