The LIST Easement data set holds spatial areas of land registered as easements on the Second Schedule of the Folio of The Register and described in the Schedule of Easements. Easements include Right of Ways, Drainage Easements, Pipeline Easements, Wayleave Easements and Telegraph Line Reserve Easements. Easements are depicted in a manner to portray only the extent to which a title is burdened by a specific type of easement or easements. LIST Easements are a layer of The LIST Cadastral Area.

Right of Ways shown for most urban areas and towns were originally derived from the Tasmanian 1:5,000 orthophoto/cadastral map series. Subsequent Easements have been added by digitally fitting the linework to existing surrounding boundary segments within the Cadastral Area.

Position Accuracy: Will conform to the Boundary Segments that the LIST Cadastral Area is comprised of. Attribute Accuracy: It is estimated that not less than 99% of all attributes are correct. Logical Consistency: All Easements are regions and attributes include the Easement Type. Completeness: LIST Easements are incomplete and further maintenance has been permanently stopped. Right of Ways originating from the 1:5,000 map series are included for some urban areas but are not up to date or verified. Easements originating from new Folios of The Register were captured between November 1999 and April 2002. All Easements created after April 2002 to March 2003 were included, and only those statutory easements created from March 2003 onwards were captured. From September 2009 Easement maintenance has permanently been suspended, except for some major infrastructure easements where supplied survey information has been used to spatially upgrade the adjoining cadastre. In areas where the cadastre is replotted, existing easements will not be reinstated.
